Privacy policy

This policy explains what NACD collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to this site and the member hub.

What we collect

Account information you give us (name, email, organization, job title, region), membership and payment status, and basic usage of the member hub. We do not collect student data.

Payment information

Membership payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and bank details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on NACD systems. We retain only the subscription status and renewal date needed to run your membership.

How we use information

To provide membership access, deliver the library and job alerts, send association communications you have asked for, and understand which resources are useful. We do not sell member data.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help operate the association — payment processing, email delivery, and the community platform — under agreements that limit their use to those services.

Your choices

You can view and correct your profile in your account page, unsubscribe from association email at any time, and request deletion of your account and associated personal data.

Security

Access to member content is enforced server-side at the database level, passwords are hashed by our identity provider, and all traffic is encrypted in transit. We limit staff access to personal data to those who need it.

Retention

We retain account and membership records while your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, accounting, and audit obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

Contact

Questions about this policy or a request about your data can be sent through the contact page and will be handled by the NACD team.
